Northern Macedonia today has banned the import and transitation of pigs, pork meat and meat products from Serbia.
According to a statement by the Food and Veterinary Agency in northern Macedonia, the decision came after several suspected swine fever cases were recorded in the Belgrade and Smederevo region.
The Food and Veterinary Agency, to be precise, has issued a decision banning import in northern Macedonia and the transition of pigs from Serbia.
The World Animal Health Protection Organisation has today placed Serbia on the list of countries that have reported cases of swine fever allegedly African plague.
