Minister Mustafa hosts KOK leaders Kosovo Police soon with federations and clubs

In the course of meetings with the ministers of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, the Kosovo Olympic Committee leaders, President Besim Hasani and Secretary General Shasivvar Hadzijaj, are hosted today by Interior Affairs Minister (MPB), Ekrem Mustafa. Hasan, thanking Minister Mustafa for the meeting, commended him for the work of the Kosovo Police.

Minister Mustafa also commended President Hasani for reaching the sports field, with particular emphasis on the recent success at the Minsk 2019 European Games, where three medals were won.

During the conversation the two sides agreed on many points of common interest.

KOK leaders demanded that sports clubs be formed within the Kosovo Police, in all municipalities and police units, as well as the formation of the Kosovo Police Sports Federation, which would pave the way for application for membership in the European and International Federation of Police Sports.

As with other ministers, Minister Mustafa was asked to employ elite athletes and trainers in the Kosovo Police. Intensive and Planned Co-operation for Co-operation Between KOK - MPB and the Kosovo Police, such as the Olympic Day, the Sport Festival for Paraschools, International Sports Day and Environment, World Walk Day, etc., was another topic of discussion.

Minister Mustafa and his team expressed gratitude for the proposed ideas, once confirmed readiness to find the most suitable modalities in line with legislation and procedures in force.

The two sides agreed that without delay the working groups on both sides should be established to draft a memorandum of co-operation aimed at deepening institutional co-operation between the Ministry of Internal Affairs and the Kosovo Olympic Committee.
