The Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports has today shared the National Prize for Life Endowment “Bekim Fehmiu” in the field of cinematography to poet and literary critic Azem Shkreli post mortum, while the annual award was shared by director Burbuke Berisha and actor Kujarim Hoxha.
The host of this event, Culture, Youth and Sports Minister Kujtim Gashi, said all the results that have taken place in the field of culture are being crowned with rewards.
The “of course is a very important day for you as well as for the Kosovo Ministry and Government, but for all citizens, because all the results that have taken place in the field of culture, respectively, in Kosovo film cinematography and film industry today are being rewarded”, Gashi said.
In addition to the international arena's successes, Gashi said the budget has also increased.
“It is good luck that the year 2018 and current year and 2017 have marked the great results of our film even in the international arena, and for these results for these successes we have also increased the budget for the Kosovo cinematographic centre”, he said.
At the National Prize for Life View “Bekim Fehmiu” in the field of Cinematography was honoured poet and literary critic Azem Shkreli post mortum, the award his heir accepted, Valon Shkreli.
The stock thanked the Ministry of Education for, as it said, the preservation and cultivation of artistic values.

The winner of the annual award for cinematography, director Burbuke Berisha, who shared the award along with actor Koqrim Hoxha, said the price “Bekim Fehmiu” is the greatest privilege she can have in her career.
The price for Bekim Fehmiu is the greatest privilege I can have. Thanks to the minister who's always around us and I hope this very good property continues, especially for the movie”, she said.
And the actor's daughter and wife, Consumption Hoxha, accepted the award and thanked for the actor's assessment.
Part of the professional jury that praised and decided on award winners are More Racan, screenwriter and director November Fetiu, actor, noble Ademi, actor, Marija Bekteshi Ferati, dramatist and theatre director, as well as Safet Beqiri, playwright.
National Prize for Life View “Bekim Fehmiu” was accompanied by a statue and a certificate signed by Minister Gashi, and a monetary reward of 5,000 euros. The annual Cinematography Award, meanwhile, amounts to 1,250 euros.
