Bosnia and Herzegovina's rotary presidency chief Milorad Dodik has declared on Tuesday that Turkey's president, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, has urged his country to hand over members of the US-led imam-led organisation Fetullah Gulen, who are staying in Bosnia, has reported Turkish news agency <x007oludolu”.
Dodik has said Erdogan has raised this issue during their late Monday meeting in Jahorina, where the Summit of Co-operation Process is taking place in Southeast Europe (SEECP).
“We have talked about this topic, Turkey has certain requirements and this is not a topic that is only recently actualised. This topic was discussed even when we were in Ankara. Turkey has a coup-related approach, which happened there earlier, and aims that through judicial institutions, of course, to resolve this matter”, Dodik said before reporters, following Tuesday's summit, Koha Ditore present today.
He has added in this case that Turkish institutions have calculated that there are people and institutions in Bosnia supporting Gulen's movement, which Ankara accuses of orchestrating the failed July 2016 stamp.
I mean these people are mostly on the territory of the Federation and that this is federal organs and procedures. So I think this is pretty clear to President Erdogan”, Dodik has said.
The local magazine “Zurnal” has reported that Turkish authorities last month have handed over to Bosnian authorities a list of Turkish citizens living in Bosnia, whose passports have been canceled. On this list, according to the paper, there are mainly business businessmen in Bosnia, among whom even those who over the past period have been engaged under Burch University in Sarajevo, which the Erdogan Government considers part of Gulen's organisation.
The Bosnian Security Ministry has confirmed to “Zurnal” that the Government has currently been handed over lists of eight of the so-called “gylenists”, but has announced that the decision on possible deportations has not been taken yet.
The Turkish president has arrived in Sarajevo on Monday, under the SEECP Summit.
