800 thousand euros for project legal advisers “New Kosovo”

MZHE has said this contracted company is tasked with advising the Committee for T C Kosova e Re concerning legal aspects.

“The Ministry of Economic Development in line with the recommendation of the T Project Steering Committee New Kosovo of May 3rd 2019, respectively, in line with the Government of the Republic of Kosovo's decision with No. 1102 on May 7th 2019, following the development of tendering procedures in line with the Public Procurement Law provisions on July 11th, 2019, has made the contract's announcement of legal consulting services for the needs of TC Kosova e Re. The company contracted by the Ministry of Economic Development will be tasked with advising the T Project Steering Committee New Kosovo, Kosovo's C Kosova government on all issues on legal aspects, respectively, to identify and analyse in a pro-active way all cases related to contractual documents for the New Kosovo project”, said in their response.

They have announced that in addition to these legal advisers, it is conducting procurement procedures for engagement of a jury entity.

This is aimed at providing services through the appointment of an Independent Engineering and an Independent Environmental and Social Consultancy to ensure that all conditions of the agreements and all obligations derived from Kosovo's adequate legal provisions and EU directive will be fully lived.

While they have stressed that the 4m-euro contract for independent experts is completely different from this contract, but aimed at supporting the government's work in relation to the TC Kosova e Re.
