Yasar: Skenderaj and Drenica were, and there was a freedom call

The Squirrel municipality today is marking the 20th anniversary of its liberation by Serbian forces.

Within the framework of the many activities for manifestation of the Day of Deliverance was the solemn session of the Sculered Municipal Assembly, which began with a minute of silence in honour for all who have fallen for Kosovo's freedom.

Weekend Mayor Bekim Jashari said the road to freedom was difficult and contributed not only to the Jashari family but also to all other families, since Drenica and Skenderaj are the source of freedom.

According to him, the headline of glorious history, which crowned centuries old sacrifices, is Shaban, Adam and Hamez Jashar and many men and women of the Kosovo Liberation Army.

The hard way and the contribution to freedom, not only of my family, but also of each family. Words cannot express the great work of those who sacrificed for freedom by being sealed by the Jashari family, when after nearly 100 years of generation invasion, they fought against an evil and cruel occupier, which history does not know. Today, we are marking the 20th anniversary of our liberation day, from the place history commissioned, by people with the non-renewable role in peoples' history, to start the irreversible journey of freedom”, Jashar said.

Squirewright's first said Kosovo's freedom also contributed to many friendly Kosovo states, led by the United States of America and the NATO alliance.

Jashar at this solemn hearing said that as Skyright chairman, he will continue to develop life and well-being for every citizen of this municipality, with particular focus creating spaces for young people.

“Our science today is proudly continuing to develop new life, statehood. We along with you, from December 2017, have done many good work together despite unforeseen difficulties and circumstances. However, I have pledged that I will do the best I can, I say today, on the occasion of the 20th anniversary of Skywright's liberation. I will not stop to keep the law, to create space and opportunity for a better life for every citizen, as our heroes loved him, as the captive people requested. We owe this to our loved ones, who see us from above, how we work, and how we conduct ourselves. We owe it to our children”, Jashar said.

The head of the Foreign Municipal Assembly, Fatbarde Haliti, said that in June 1999, Kosovo's sons and daughters took to the streets, triumphing over freedom won.

She said June will always be remembered as the month of freedom, and March will be remembered in history as the month of sacrifice.

This liberation war, of course, was among the lyrical peoples led by the US, Great Britain, Germany, France and NATO members. June 99th for us will always remain in history as June of freedom, each time remembering March as a month of sacrifice”, Haliti said.

Family members of KFOR's martyrs and soldiers attended this solemn session.

The head of the Skokyright municipality, Bekim Jashari, accompanied by municipal directorates, asmbists and citizens during the day have been paying their respects at the September of legendary Commander Adem Jashar in the centre of the city, at the Memorial complex in Prescas and at the cemetery of martyrs in Mary.
