Palmer: Who causes violence in June 30th elections will be placed on US blacklist

If there will be violence on June 30th, the United States of America will put every single one of its authors on the blacklist. Matthew Palmer, U.S. Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, answered the Voice of America's question that, would they, the PD and LSI, enter the US sanctions list if you wanted [...]
“Veging elections could provide a basis for being excluded from relations with the United States. Beyond that, I cannot comment on hypothetical situations. But yes; it is absolutely the responsibility of opposition leaders who, under these circumstances, make it clear to their supporters that violence is an unacceptable tool. We also want to hear the same from the government. It's something we've constantly highlighted. Anyone in Albania should hear it clearly, from their leaders, from those who support and await instructions, hear it from the international community, including the United States. It's something I've highlighted several times and I repeat: violence is unacceptable”, Palmer said.
President Meta's critics, who had not cancelled the US elections, but in Albania, Palmer replied: “under ideal conditions we would have wanted both opposition and government parties to participate in the elections. We made this clear by force to opposition leaders, before they decided to boycott the elections. It's a shame they decided otherwise. But that does not mean that elections should not be held. After the elections, there will be opportunities for the Constitutional Court to be established, it is quite possible for the Court to decide that elections must be repeated, but it is up to the Court to decide and not to particular politicians. ”
For the US, on 30 June in Albania there are elections: “We expect the elections to take place on June 30th. Hopefully they will develop smoothly and transparently. And we call on opposition leaders to make it clear to their supporters that on June 30th there will be no violence, so that no one can prevent the right of those wanting to participate in the elections. Peaceful protests are part of democratic governance.”, broadcast tch.
Palmer said that after July 1st, he expects dialogue between the parties for electoral reform and support of justice reform, as well as the early establishment of the Constitutional Court.
Asked about the wiretapping, Palmer wants investigations: “These are serious charges that must be investigated. We will support an investigation by Albanian institutions and authorities -- an investigation that is professional, transparent -- leading to a conclusion. These are very serious accusations, requiring serious investigation. ”
