Dusan Radakovic, director of the Centre for Presentation of Democratic Culture (ACDC) in northern Mitrovica, has warned that if Serbs boycott the elections proclaimed by President Hashim Thaci, then the mayor of Northern Mitrovica will have an Albanian.
Although with numerous slogans placed in various parts of Northern Mitrovica, in Leposaviq, in Zubin Potok and Zvecan are urged Serbs to boycott the elections, which they call separatists, Serbian analysts, political and cultural life people have expressed favour with Serb participation in the elections for mayor of four northern municipalities, which will be held on May 19th, 2019.
Until the extraordinary elections in northern Mitrovica, Zvecan, Zubin Potok's Leposaviq has come following last year's resignations of presidents Goran Rakic, Vucinina Jankovic, Zoran Todiq and Stevan Vullovovic, due to the introduction of a 100 per cent tax on imports of Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina products, writes further the newspaper <x0Zri><1.
