Kosovars are known as the most pro-American people in the world. In a poll conducted by the Pristina Institute for Political Studies, it is not US President Donald Trump foreign favorite politician, but German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

53 per cent prefer Kosovars Merkel, evidently leaving Trump behind with only 17 per cent.

Meanwhile, the third is Turkey's President, Recep Tayip Erdogan.

“Tutje, 55% of citizens estimate that NATO is the organisation that has helped Kosovo most since 1999, thus leaving the EU behind with 21% and the UN at 12%. As for the EU's popularity at this moment, 54% of Kosovars estimate that the EU is a friendly organisation today, based on its approach and policies towards Kosovo. Meanwhile, around 52% of citizens think Kosovo has been damaged internationally by Serbia-sponsored recognition campaign”, it says in the statement.

The positive assessment of foreign policy and diplomacy of the Republic of Kosovo is low. Asked how satisfied you are with the foreign policy and diplomacy of the Republic of Kosovo only 3.8% of the repossesses have chosen the maximum response “very satisfied””.

The poll has attended 1200 residents from all municipalities in Kosovo.
