Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has hosted the meeting today, the director of the Women's Democratic Network, Valerie Dowling, with which they have talked about representing women in politics in Kosovo and mechanisms of support.
In this case, Prime Minister Haradinaj, speaking of government priorities, which said that one of them is the role of women in decision-making, also stressed that Kosovo's Constitution broadly guarantees gender equality for men and women, considering equal opportunities and equal participation of women and men as fundamental rights.
The government has taken a series of decisions providing women equal treatment, equal opportunities to find a job, as well as private business development, regardless of ethnic or political affiliation. We have advanced in this direction, but there is still work to do”, Prime Minister Haradinaj has said.
At the same time, Prime Minister Haradinaj said that representation of women on this network and the opportunity given to exchange experiences, advance knowledge and empower decision-making are good opportunities for the country, and that government support for such programmes will not be lacking.
Among other things, Prime Minister Haradinaj has mentioned real estate registration on behalf of the two mates.
Meanwhile, Women's Democratic Network Director Valerie Downing has thanked Prime Minister Haradinaj for his reception, and has expressed her commitment to helping Kosovo in such processes.
