Gjilan municipal authorities have indicated that the number of careless persons is increasing. But in the House of Elders, the cause of criteria, they cannot be placed in shelters. Eight elderly persons have been placed in the municipality of Gjilan, while three elderly people from the Kamenica municipality and 3 careless elderly people have settled in shelters, which are from the municipality of the Year.
Centre for Social Affairs in the municipality of Gjilan, Mursel Zymberi, has said that there have been identified from work on the ground over 20 cases of elderly people who have no care.
He says that with the finalisation of the social village in the municipality of Gjilan, the transfer of cases of elderly persons from Pristina to Gjilan will become possible.
