Publicly confirms Lutfi Haziri: I will run for LDK chairman

Democratic League of Kosovo deputy leader Lutfi Haziri has announced for the first time publicly that he will be a candidate for party chairman in the party's domestic elections expected to begin next week, Periscope reports. Haziri has said he is currently working on reaching an agreement [...]
Haziri has said he is currently working on reaching an internal agreement in the party that ensures unity even after the elections.
He has made it known whether, despite these efforts, the agreement is not reached, he will run elections.
“Today is March 15th, and elections in LDK officially begin. Gjilan's LDK where I'm 20 years old has begun. In March 1990, I was engaged in the LDK, and then I was invited to Pristina by party structures. I'm 29 years old in LDK, 19 years with my family. I have life expectancy in LDK more than anyone else. I'm for political agreement. I am preserving a unity in the party, so that there is no division. We have no ideological divisions in the party. We're five candidates. We have to deal with the secret vote. Minimum would be two candidates. The vote would be classified. The result must be acceptable. I'm running for LDK chairman if there's an internal agreement, because before we had no problems with leaders. The future of the LDK is in team leadership. Ibrahim Rugova's shoes no longer make them to anyone. Working till the end for political agreement, I ask for equality in that agreement. If there's a political deal, I run. I believe the political agreement is the only means the LDK has to exploit”, Haziri said at Debat Plus in Tv Dukajni./ P ERISCOPIA
