One of the people who had insulted and offended and then physically attacked Petrovic had served as Nenad Rikallos' adviser during the time that he was at the helm of the Agriculture Ministry in Haradinaj Government.
At the media conference, Petrovic had indicated how the whole event had taken place at one of Pristina's restaurants.
The European Union office in Pristina requires Pristina authorities a general investigation to reveal the circumstances of the event.
“We are aware of the reported incident, which occurred yesterday in Pristina. We expect Kosovo authorities to conduct a thorough investigation, to find the facts” reportedly in response to the EU office giving Express.
Even the highest leaders of the Republic of Kosovo have reacted to this event.
Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has strongly condemned such an event and has called on justice authorities to bring the attackers to justice. President Thaci and Parliament head Kadri Wessel have reacted the same.
Without reaction, neither has the Serbian List, which claims it was Slobodan Petrovic who had started the first physical attack on former Nenad Rikallos advisor.
However, in explaining Slobodan Petrovic at Wednesday's media conference, it is said that this physical attack on him has come after he in an interview in RTK, had addressed numerous criticisms of how he had governed the agriculture ministry, members of Srppska, Nenad Ricalo. He had also recalled the fact that the minister already leads his party member, Dijana Zivic.
This incident had preceded a lynching communique of the Serbian List for Slobodan Petrovic, in which he was accused of working against the interest of the Serbian people.
The fact that Petrovic's vote was crucial for the adoption of the Pristina Dialogue Platform was stated, which Serbia is sharply rejecting.
Despite all of this, however, Petrovic has stated yesterday that no one will succeed in changing their political beliefs, which are in the good and interest of the Serbian people.
