Lutfi Haziri has been declared for his run for LDK chairman, while his opponent may have Vjosa Osmani, with whom he has frustrated reports. The names of Avdullah Hoti and Cameron Shala have also been mentioned.
However, in a proposal for Gazeta Express, Mejtim Shala has said she will not compete for party leader.
Candidates, according to the LDK statute, will be elected by delegates' votes, while the number of these depends on the votes this party has received in the national elections.
For every 532 votes a branch has received from local elections, it will take 1 delegate to the LDK's Electoral Assembly, where the party chairman is elected.
In the local elections in Pristina, the LDK has received 41.897 votes, which would amount to 80 delegates.
