President Thaci's adviser, Adil Behramaj, for Radio Kosovo has responded briefly that the decree on decree has not yet been made. Meanwhile, many unions, which are part of the wage law, have asked the president not to have this law decreed. As for discontent, this has been noted with numerous protests and strikes. These have continued during the last days, when the Corresponding Service Unionists held protests.

Unionists demanded that their cofficiency increase from 1.85 to 2.2 so that they are equal to police and firemen. Salaries Law disagrees with the new KEK Union and the Air navigation Workers' Union. The union leaders have warned that they are expected to radicalise if their demands are not met. The law on wages has passed in the Assembly on 2 February, with 63 votes for and 1 abstention. If President Thaci does not decree it, then the law is returned to the Assembly for reconsideration. The right to return a law, the president can only use it once.
