Sweden will pay salaries for grandchildren

Grandmas are a symbol of care and love for all. Almost all of us remember our grandmother with much love - that is why. In many families, grandmothers care for their children while their parents are at work. And for that reason, Sweden has decided to reward them. The exhausting task of caring [...]
The exhausting task of child care must also be compensated economically.
The Swedish government has applied a pilot programme that envisions paying a salary for grandmothers who care about their grandchildren from Monday to Friday.
The aim of this programme is to improve the employment rate in the country.
Dalarni and Stockholm, the Swedish capital, are the two countries to which the programme begins. The program will start at 1,000 families, and in six months it is intended to spread to other cities.
It is thought that the basic salary will be around 700 euros and is also about an extra profit, approximately 100 euros, to take care of children at home.
This will also give mothers the opportunity to work safely.
It seems so incredible that something normal like a grandmother who cares about grandchildren is now going to be a well-paid job.
