Kosovo Assembly Chairman Kadri Veselin, after adopting the Law for Rewards for Civil Servants, has said that public servants in Kosovo “can say they are even compared to EU countries for their payments they will have since tonight”.
“We are proud of this because our economy is stable, this solid wage growth will not harm Kosovo's macro-economic and macro-financial stability. By improving the situation in the public sector, we have guaranteed that there is no pay cuts for any public employees. There is growth from 20 to 83 percent. Now we will be directed to the most important part that entrepreneurship, production, private sector. Development of the country depends on the private sector. This will be our orientation”, Vessel said, reports Koha.net.
On the other hand, he also spoke of the 2019 budget, which is expected to be put to the polls during today's session.
“Budget is in order of days. We have a coalition working normally, making decisions... The Republic of Kosovo budget will be adopted tonight. It is a reality”, Veselin said, while stating that the Trepca Status will also be spoken at this session, which said “will be a very important decision on the sovereignty and economy of Kosovo”.
