Haziri has expressed confidence that this agreement will be reached even though only three days remain from the date when the Kosovo Parliament's constitutional sessions will be held.
LDK's number two finds there is yet another possibility that agreement for the presidential post could be postponed for another moment.
He has said, among other things, that the Democratic League does not have any name for the president's post, but prefers to have a consensual candidate.
Total interview:
The LDK has shown willingness and good will to reach an agreement. Our constitutional role in central institutions remains.
We must work together that a common name would end the deal. It's wasting political oxygen, it's a commitment, a new formulation. We're trying to reach a breathing deal. The wait is great. We will work to reach this agreement.
Do you have an LDK name for the president?
We have no name, because our political tradition does not prejudge the name. The president is expected to be in office in March. If that doesn't happen, there are two risks. The first danger is that coalition parties will work for a name. The second is that we will continue in a political crisis that leads to elections without reaching the president's election.
LDK propose a president from its ranks or a name from the academic world?
We believe that the name of the LDK has to be done to nomination. We have given 2 presidents Ibrahim Rugova and Fatmir Sejdiu. Virtually the LDK's commitment is to provide consensual president. Now we will offer names that we will discuss with our partners and build a consensus.
It seems that the VV is not ready at all in the sense of proving this request of the LDK and says that when the time comes to take an interest in the president, you who ask for this issue to be put into the package now and that the VV wants a paragraph to be discussed?
Political distrust is one of the ditches that is dividing us the most. If the prime minister is acceptable to all of us, even one president should come to the same sense. I too commit myself to a president beyond the coalition frame
What happens if you can't agree?
We'll get to a definition and the President's case will be exceeded. This can be handled in the coming days. It's enough time.
If you don't agree to this case you're going to retreat?
We are clear either coalition with VV or opposition.
Are you prepared if on Thursday no agreement is reached to meet a Convention to disperse itself?
I believe that as far as it will be put in place, if the LDK is introduced there is no proposal for chairman of the Parliament. I believe that 2-3 options on the table define the plan.
What offer would that be?
It could still be the choice of definition for the President.
