A prominent Serbian architect, Nebojsa Glisic, has commented on the consequences of the earthquake in Albania, dropping criticism of the engineering solutions of the collapsed buildings.

He has posted on his FB page both pictures of some of them and the touching picture of mother and daughter, who lost their lives in ruins in a collapsed palace in Durres.
Glisic posted photos of the ruins, saying:
In the first three photos, all my decades of combat with amateurs in business...
Millions of times I've faced the question, Why so much reinforcement and concrete? This does not happen every day, but when it happens, it does a tremendous amount of damage”.
As he wrote, if he were built according to the rules, there would be no such consequences, much less us humans. He says he's convinced that, besides the little cracks and things falling around, nothing else would happen.
We would have a home today and a life”, Glisic writes.
Then comment again on selected objects.
The first <x0... photo shows how a completely new building fell under the weight of the floor, evidently without adequate seismic material, reinforced horizontal and vertical concrete plates that would withstand the powerful earthquake forces... just collapsed”, he wrote.
He went on to comment, saying the second and third <x0 Images show the corners of buildings that have collapsed due to the apparent lack of gold concrete plates.
It is completely incomprehensible to give all life savings, as well as family life, to some disabled person.
As he pointed out, for the value of an average phone bought every year, you will buy peace for yourself and the next generation by employing an engineer to do your job.
