An estimated 4 percent increase in livestock prices

According to the AKS, the overall agricultural product index has growth of 0.2.8%, compared to the same period in 2018.
The AKS says this publication is based on the collection of prices of local agricultural products in Kosovo.
“Data collection is done on the market, farms and other sites, where agricultural prices can be collected. Productions, which provide basis for the price index of agricultural products, are divided into two main groups: Plant and animal products. Within the framework of plant products, prices are collected for these groups: cereals, foraging plants, vegetables, potatoes, and trees. In livestock products, prices are collected for livestock and livestock products. Within livestock, prices accumulate for four categories of animals: cattle, sheep, pigs and chickens. These awards are based on the living weight of animals. In the framework of livestock products, prices are collected for milk, eggs and honey. All prices are estimated at the Euro and the measurement units are in: kg, litre and piece”, the ASS communiqué says.
