Serbia owes Kosovo 2.8 billion euros for pension funds

So said today in the presentation of studies about the final phase of Kosovo-Serbia dialogue by the European and Development Research Institute (Ridea), which has come up with recommendations for the return of the pension and disability insurance fund on the part of the Serbian state.
Mrika Kotor of Ridea said the amount of debt Serbia owes to Kosovo's contributing pensioners did not include status interest, debt for the period 2017-2018, debt to contributing pensioners who have lived in war zones during 1998 and debt to those who have paid mandatory contributions for 15 years.

Some of the recommendations on the issue of pension and disability insurance funds that emerged from this study are, that Serbia should accept that pension rights is the fundamental right acquired on the basis of work, to accept responsibility for money and non-rich damage, to officially accept its political and moral obligation for compensation of contributing pensioners and for the Government of Kosovo to use all relevant and relevant documents to develop its arguments during negotiations on behalf of citizens.
Next Study RIDEA concerned the energy sector, where it said Serbia is not respecting the agreements reached during the dialogue, which is causing Kosovo financial losses.
Besim Krasniqi said the total damage stemming from actions rather than the EMS actions entrusted to Serbia totals 432m euros. He said this debt is made up of three components.

“When it comes to assessing monetary losses and monetary revenues, the existing losses that have already occurred are some of the losses that Kosovo does not accomplish because of the obstacles created for the exploitation of interconction in Albania, below 1, we do not have compensation for access to capacity in the three intercontact lines that amount to around 225m euros for 2004-2009, no payment of energy bills in the northern part of Kosovo amounting to 204m euros, and lost revenues stemming from the use of the transmission line to Albania, which account for the value of around 32m euros-2016).
Otherwise, at this conference it was said that these studies will be sent to the Government of Kosovo, which should be used as facts in dialogue with Serbia.
