Montenegrins in Kosovo seek rights similar to those of Albanians in Montenegro

“Taking into account that the ruling party is the winner of Kosovo's parliamentary elections, as the next mandate, you have announced that the Government will present reciprocal measures to all neighbours. In that spirit, we invite you to keep your word and to start with the most endangered”, the letter of the head of the Association of Montenegrins of Kosovo sent Albin Kurti.

Vujicic expects, based on reciprocity, the Montenegrin community in Kosovo will urgently be granted identical rights like Albanians in Montenegro.

“This means the final solution to our constitutional and general position, adequate representation in the Kosovo Assembly, use of language, flag, ranking 21 May as the national holiday of Kosovo under Montenegro's Flag Day, adopting the relevant action plan for the integration and affirmation of the Montenegrin community, and its full implementation following the principles of positive 148x1>, notes Vujicic, Duek, adding that he expects from Kurti to take Kosovo's Montenegrin demands seriously.
