Former Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has reacted after the request of the new mediator of Kosovo-Serbia talks, Josep Borell, to have whoever comes to the new government remove the tax. Haradinaj has also cited a statement during his hearing before the Commission for Foreign Policy, that Kosovo will never be a state unless it is recognised by China, Russia, and India, Periscopi broadcasts.
Haradinaj says he regrets Borelli's assumption of our region's knowledge while claiming to lead EU foreign policy.
” We strongly believe that degradation, landslides, and such insults will no longer be allowed by EU institutions.
Here's the full reaction:
It took two years of international sensibility and active resistance for refusing to reject Moghrin's dialogue from him to normalising relations, to correct and exchange borders and territory. When I looked for an active American role in the dialogue at the end of 2017, at the time I had just assumed the prime minister's office, Mrs. Mogher and her team were alarmed and canceled the previous joint press conference. The same was true at the end of 2018, when we at the time had already taken the precautions needed to prevent the advancement of Kosovo's division.
Today, when we hear Mr. Borrell, nominated to replace Mrs. Mogherin, declaring during the hearing hearing before the Commission for Foreign Policy, that Kosovo will never be a state unless it is recognised by China, Russia, India, I regret the Czechity of his knowledge of our region while claiming to lead EU foreign policy.
We remind Mr. Borrell stated the fundamental principle that recognition according to international law does not make or undo the state being. Recognition is a political act, and it does not define the judicial and political functionality of the state.
Kosovo is lucky to have the blessing of the critical majority of Western democratic states, which continue to support us in each area. Such statements, especially before confirming influential positions in European institutions, clearly test the low level of credibility and superficial recognition of circumstances in the Balkans by Mr. Borrell.
Kosovo expects mutual seriousness and respect from representatives of the European Commission, especially now that it is led by Germany. We strongly believe that degradation, landslides, and such insults will no longer be allowed by EU institutions.
Kosovo has been refusing treatment below its level of citizenship and full sovereignty since 2017.
