“Parliament is engaged in a transparent mechanism. The other three commissioners will now be nominated by Romania, Hungary and France, and we will begin in Parliament reviewing their candidacy”, he stressed, quoted by Italian intelligence agencies, during a meeting in Cernobio, northern Italy.
“I think it won't be possible to respect the November 1st and decide on December 1st”, he added.
The vote to confirm the European Parliament for the entire German-made team, Ursula von der Leyen will take place, according to the projected calendar, on 23 October during a plenary session in Strasbourg.
Three names have been rejected during this time by European Parliament commissions during the evaluation procedure.
