The United States Ambassador Philip Costett, through a message on the social network, Twitter, has said the election results in Kosovo showed that citizens voted to see the end of corruption.
“A will take all parties, in position and opposition, a final move on this?” wrote Costet.
Of the preliminary results, published so far by the Central Election Commission, Vetevendosje Movement has won 25.49 per cent of the vote, followed by the Democratic League of Kosovo with 24.82 per cent of the vote.
According to the CEC, the Democratic Party of Kosovo, which has been leading for 12 years, has emerged third.
These results do not include conditional votes, votes by mail and votes of persons with special needs.
