Albanian Prime Minister Edi Rama, during the duty-taking ceremony as foreign minister, has indicated that he will not be the one to head the institution, but Gent Cakaj.
It's the shortest word in my life. I, in my post as foreign minister, delegate Gent Cakaj to the leadership of this ministry and representation in international institutions”, Rama said.
This has been the Supreme Presidency announcement of Rama's appointment as foreign minister:
The president of the Republic on January 14th, 2019, has been submitted to the new proposal for the appointment of Edi Rama, Prime Minister, also in the post of minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
The prime minister's appointment even in the prime minister's office is a special case, which is not predicted or prohibited by the Constitution of the Republic of Albania.
The president of the Republic praised this proposal in accordance with the spirit conveyed by the Constitutional Court's Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Constitutional Constitution and by making an extensive interpretation and initialisation of constitutional provisions, as well as by keeping in mind the fact that the exercise of the prime minister's office is a state-run activity extending within the executive sphere of government cabinet, whose structure is in the right of the prime minister for the proposed.
