The Kosovo Assembly has not yet voted the budgetary division bill for 2019. The session when budget approval is expected for this year is scheduled for Saturday, February 2nd.
As of February 1st, the state is officially in financial blockades and cannot make any payment except public debt.
Finance Ministry spokesman Muharrem Sahini has confirmed to Gazeta Express that public sector salaries, which are scheduled to come out on February 1st, will come out today.
Salaries will come up a day earlier, as tomorrow officially blocked any possible payments, until the budget vote.
The Public Finance Management and Responsibilities Law envisions that the country can spend only one month of the fiscal year without approved budgets.
Meanwhile, yesterday at the first session of the spring session, the procedure motion requested by the Commission for Buzhet was required to extend the budget spending deadline until the budget bill is adopted for 2019.
