“E know that health and education are on strike, I am aware to see them every day, but with the law vote on wages I have asked those who make the law to lower only one salary, that of the prime minister, I have demanded that all sectors increase wages except Prime Minister “said Haradinaj.
Health professionals have been on strike since December, they demand salaries at the level with prosecutors and judges.
Prime Minister Haradinaj had promised them salary increases but ended up raising his salary.
It was June 2017 when Kadri Veselini of Ramush Haradinaj called for citizens' votes on behalf of the PAN coalition. Both had also made promises to raise wages for health workers. And coalition promises PAN were formalised in a memorandum they signed with the Federation of Health Unions.
We remember that citizens are the ones that are facing the strike. Just yesterday we saw a heavy case of how an elderly man had remained in the emergency corridors at QKUUK, groaning from intense pain all night long.
