Even though the European Union constantly calls for the 100 per cent tax removal of Serbian goods, the Kosovo government remains determined that the decision is lifted when Serbia recognises the Republic of Kosovo.
So did the Minister of Trade and Industry, Andrew Shala.
“Taxa will continue to be in effect until all the reasons that have led us as the Government of Kosovo to put such a measure” are eliminated, Shala has said.
The first of this minister also spoke of supporting local production.
“in 2019 we will be focused on helping local producers increase the quality of their products, and thus they will be more competitive in the Kosovo market, as well as on the external market”, Shala has said.
In a conversation about RTV 21, Shala has estimated that Kosovo is good in the climate of doing business, while MTI has fulfilled over 80 percent of its SAA obligations.
