Albania's former Foreign Minister, Besnik Mustafaj, has talked about a series of issues from changes in the government, the failure to recall Bushat's dismissal by President Ilir Meta, and the protest of students who have returned to the square again today after the winter holidays.
Invited to the “Opion” in News 24, Mustafaj said Albania's prime minister, Edi Rama, has provided no political argument to remove Busat from the minister's post.
Commenting on the statements of former Greek counterpart expressed for Ditmir Busati, Mustafaj said the arguments used by Nikos Kotzias are not in his favour. For Mustafaj, Rama's name chosen to succeed Bushat is not a figure and a figure of clear profile.
According to him, if it were a proper choice at the head of Albania's Foreign Ministry, the proper name would be Veton Surroi's.
The prime minister must give political arguments. For Bushat's dismissal, Rama gave no political arguments. Meta has expressed serious reservations about the decree of Gent Cakati. Meta can push it towards reflection with Rama. There are two arguments Kotzia gave that do not serve Bushat. The first one said about Kosovo. Between the minister and Rama, there has been no dispute over Kosovo. We are not able to assess how dignified the foreign minister has been with Greece”, Mustafaj has said.
I don't have any scenarios and I don't know Cakay. I believe it should have been a man of great influence and knowledge. The road to negotiations is not only technical issues, but depends on many agencies. If he had taken a personality from Kosovo, he could have taken a Veton Surroi's statue of”, the former foreign minister further said.
I don't have any objections in principle, because this [Cakaj] is an Albanian citizen. This man shows his immatureness since he accepted the post. From here, he does the act of irresponsability and the second distributes the minister's card. There are two constitutional steps to arrive at the post. I am not happy, and it seems to be an irresponsible Rama has done. The election of the Minister of Education is in this barn. The adequate is only the choice of Erion Braces, others are amateur elections”, Mustafaj said.
The Albanian publicist also talked about the protest, while he said students have shown and are showing that they are steadfast in their demands.
“Students are determined to achieve their goals. They are skeptical of politics, but they are distrustful of other groups”, he added. /Time.net
