Kurti tells French ambassador Thaci is using the Presevo Valley as bait

Vetevendosje Movement Chairman Albin Kurti, along with Parliamentary Group Chairman Glauk Konjufka and Secretary of Foreign Relations Nora Fetosti, hosted France's Ambassador, Didier Chabert, mission Vice President Carole Blastel-Feffer, political affairs official Timothée Barbier and official Fikrije Pllsnik. According to LVV media report, at this meeting [...]
According to the LVV media report, this meeting discussed the political situation in the country, particularly stopping in Kosovo's dialogue . The announcement suggests that Chairman Kurti informed Ambassador Chabert of the Movement's stance on dialogue, saying a president negotiating without a platform and without a mandate is alone and has no support for his dangerous game. To involve others in his adventure, President Thaci once tried to use it as bait for Kosovo at the UN, while now he is trying again as bait to use the Presevo, Medvedja and Bujanoc region.
Kurti further stressed that recognising Kosovo's independence, reciprocity of rights in both countries and confrontation with the past is the formula, which ensures true and lasting peace. We need to talk and work on the rights of Serbian citizens in the Republic, not on deals of authoritarian presidents with territories. For good neighbourly relations Serbia needs to change a lot. Vuciki's speech in Mitrovica testifies exactly the opposite.
Ambassador Chambers underlined France's commitment to helping Western Balkan countries in their bilateral problems on the European road, and especially Kosovo, taking an interest in reform in the justice system.
The parties agreed to frequent contacts and continued meetings.
