With Diaspora going, the number of traffic accidents falls

For a short period of time Kosovo's roads became horror and scary for citizens. The number of summer - month cars was huge because of the flow of fellow countrymen from the diaspora. The cases in a traffic accident were wiped out families of up to five members to shake Kosovo. For many families this summer will be remembered for losing the most loved ones in accidents. From January 1st this year to today on the streets of Kosovo have lost 85 people. In September the number of fatal accidents has declined.

The most frequent causes of the total number of accidents for this period of time according to police are: Uncertain vehicle manipulation (uncareful), no distance, no speeding up to road conditions, and unsafe locks on the road.

Many of these accidents included diaspora. Exiles caused fatal accidents with injured persons and material damage.

Police have said 85 people are dead this year in accidents.

The three summer months were very dangerous for citizens, for this period of time, 40 lives were lost. In June 10 people killed in accidents, 15 people in July and August 15 people.

On July 8, mother, father, and three children were tragicly killed in an accident in Biracha, Suhareka. This family had come from Switzerland to spend holidays in Kosovo.

On August 2nd, an exile had lost his life in an accident in Pristina. On that same day, in Suhareka, one car accident between two cars, one with French license plates, has lost two people, one female and one male (family), and two children have been injured.

However, the number of fatal accidents is on the decline, as during the January-August 2017 period 85 people lost their lives, while January-August 2018 lost 82 people. And during these days of September three more people have died, it is about the accident between a car and a train in the village of Dush, Kline.
