Military and civilian, local and Italian authorities took part in the ceremony, as well as representatives of various KFOR structures in Kosovo.

The acting commander of the Carabinieri regiment, Colonel Marko Di Stefano, said he is proud to be part of the KFOR mission, until he thanked KFOR Commander Salvatore Cuoci, who has always shown a great appreciation for the MSU regiment, but has not even mentioned the Kosovo Police.

“I would like to thank very much the director general and Kosovo Police colleagues present at this ceremony, with your presence witnessing the proximity, sharing of values and friendship that brought us into this intensive year and activities. You have demonstrated skills, passion and motivation in establishing stable relations based on mutual respect and co-operation, with international organisations and with local institutions. You belong to the assessment and admiration within and outside borders, a modern and innovative police force with military status, consistently dedicated to the protection of freedom and law in the country”, he said.

KFOR Commander Salvatore Cuoci thanks Italian KFOR members for their determination and common in support of the people of Kosovo.
