In investigating this case, Blakaj in an interview for “Justice Trust” has said he has sought assistance in creating a team of prosecutors but has had no will for that.
Prosecutor Blakaj further said he was appointed prosecutor of the War Crimes Department of the Special Prosecutor of the Republic of Kosovo, but was also charged with more substance of other natures.
He was appointed as prosecutor in line with the prosecutor's strength for investigating the case of the wiretaping relative “Proto” along with Drita Hajdari and Lulzim Sylejmani.
Meanwhile, he was appointed by Chief State Prosecutor Alexander Lumez and as prosecutor of the case of false veterans.
His appointment through Special Prosecutor's Chief Prosecutor Reshat Milaku, according to Elez Blakaj, had been carried out contrary to the procedures for the division of subjects.
