French President Emmanuel Macron today dismissed the allegations of nepotism he is facing after a close writer was appointed to a diplomatic function in the United States, just weeks after the desired position of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs open to undiplomatic candidates.
The allegations of nepotism came after writer Philip Besson's appointment of consul general in Los Angeles, given the fact that he wrote a book praising Macron during the 2017 election campaign and has no particular diplomatic experience.

Besson, 51, wrote about 20 novels, some of which adapted to large screens and theatres.
