Catholic priest of the Metropolitan Archdiocese in Tirana Dom Gjergj Meta has reacted to open debates on Albania's integration into the European Union.
Through a Facebook post, he says that if it's true that Europe doesn't accept us, because there are Muslims in Albania, then I don't want to go to Europe.
Among other things Meta writes:
If it's true that Europe doesn't accept us, because there are Muslims in Albania, then I don't want to go to Europe, because I prefer to spend my life with my friends of heart that I grew up with, share the good and bad, have been found and found, but they proclaim a creed different from mine, rather than live with a Dutch, German, or French, who proclaims the same creed.
If they don't accept me in Europe with my neighbor going to the mosque, I refuse the offer to continue with my life.
