The video showing Ahed Tamim hitting the soldier outside her home at Naby Saleh last year became viral.
For Palestinians it became a symbol of resistance to Israeli occupation, but many Israelis see it as a riot in search of publicity.
The 17-year-old was received by the kindnesses after returning to her hometown.
The resistance is continuing until the seizure is removed”, she told the crowd.
Sixteen at the time, she was initially charged with 12 counts of assault, instigation, hitting soldiers and throwing stones.
In March, she agreed to plead guilty to four counts, including inciting and attacking.
The day before the release of Ahed Tamim, two Italians were arrested after painting the young girl's face on a wall of four meters on the wall separating Bethlehem from Jerusalem.
Israeli border police said the two Italians and a Palestinian, who was also arrested, were suspected of “damage and vandalisation of the security siege in the area of Bethlehem”.
The group allegedly tried to leave when facing police.
Last Wednesday, one of the men identified himself as Italian street artist Jorit Agoch, the AFP news agency said.
