Kidnapping in the streets and the forced expulsion of 6 jihadists from Kosovo to Turkey late in March had exacerbated reports on the political scene. To this work of President Hashim Thaci, government chief Ramush Haradinaj had reacted by dismissing Interior Minister Sefaj and AKI chief Driton Gashi. But now, as the noise has passed, Thaci is continuing the games. He says Haradinaj, Minister Sefaj, has slipped because of Djuric's arrest, wanting to show that with the request of the Egyptians everything has been in order or to wash before internationals and Serbia over the case of the Serbian chief negotiator.
President Thaci has tried last night to deny Prime Minister Haradinaj about the decision to sack Minister Flamur Sefaj, saying he has left because of Djuric's arrest, however, the prime minister's office continues to address the president cautiously. Avni Arifi has defended Haradinaj's decision on dismissals, but has been cautious about Thaci.
Avni Arifi, chief of staff of Prime Minister Haradinaj, has said he does not comment on the president's statements, but suggests that the Government stands behind the reasons for the dismissal of the ministry and chief of AKI, following the kidnapping of six Turkish citizens.
“Respect for the president but does not comment on this statement by standing firmly behind the reasonings we gave when the case occurred and when we took the actions you mention”, Arifi said.
Until the country's prime minister is reserved in his statements to the president, the latter brings down his plans. Thaci yesterday cast his doubts on the decision the prime minister had made to dismiss the interior minister. Even though Haradinaj stated many times that the dismissals had taken place due to the arrest of gylenists, Thaci said it was not.
The country's first said yesterday that Sefaj was fired because of Djuris' arrest and not because of the Turkish kidnapping, though the prime minister's decision on dismissal had other restraint.
“I believe the minister has left because of the response to Djuriqi rather than to the next case. He was a good and responsible minister to me. Even the AKI chief has done a very good job, but the political circumstances demanded that what happened --” happen, Thaci said.
The president last night was able to present everything irrational, even the kidnapping of gilensists, as quite normal, which, according to him, had received international attention, even though criticisms of basic human rights had flooded with fire.
Reactions for the occasion were severe and loud, but the president was once again deaf. He said no one in Brussels or Berlin mentioned him.
No time in any sentence, no circumstances. No one has opened this case to me, said the president when asked whether Merkel had mentioned the Turkish kidnapping.
