Misuse in Meja Memorial, Haradinaj seeks investigation by Prosecutor

Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj has by letter addressed State Prosecutor Alexander Lumezi to launch investigations into the abuses that residents have voiced about the construction of Memorial at Mej in Gjakova.

Haradinaj posted this letter on the social Facebook network:

Today, I am addressing Chief State Prosecutor Mr. Alexander Lumez, who in his legal mandate begins immediately, in co-ordination with the Kosovo Police, the investigation into the abuses which have been expressed as concern by residents about the construction of Memorial in Mej in Gjakova. We will not allow possible abuses to degrade the purity of our efforts for liberation and freedom. Our national historical memory is an inheritance for generations to come. RH
