Italy testifies to high risk facing EU

The Italians have no faith in politicians, whom they dismiss with contempt “the”. Italian politicians rarely do what they have promised in the election campaign. Even if it sounds strange, it would be in Italy's interest and desirable to Europe, for old mechanisms to still work, and for the nationalist revolution to fail.

A prime minister as a fig leaf

So open criticism from the outside, the Italians react extremely frustrated, and that is how everyone - not just the populists - react. This too is one of Italian policy laws.
