At the assembly of the Parliamentary Commission for Human Rights, Gender Equality, for people not found and Petitions was debated over the demands of the Serbian List for at least two members from the Serb community to participate in the Commission for Changing the Law on Religious Freedom.
This request was not approved by this commission, and there was debate between the chairman of this commission, Duda Balje, and second Deputy President Miljana Nikolic, who is deputy from the Serbian List.
Nikolic showed disappointment with the commission's work as well as with amendments that are not accepted by this commission and that are in the interest of the Serbian List.
These facts you have offered are not in the interest of the Serbian List, they are not in the interest of the Serbian Church, and we therefore reject them. Of the 14 mandates, 7 of them are accepted and those that are very important are not accepted, as we requested and desired” Nikolic said.
Meanwhile, the chairman of this commission, Duda Balje, addressed Serbian List MP Nikolic, saying they are not the owners of community rights in Kosovo.
Balje also clarified that the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo must be respected to appoint members for the change of Law for communities in Kosovo.
I am not here to respect just the interest of the Serbian List. The communities are not only Serbs in Kosovo, it goes to all communities. You are not the owners of community rights in Kosovo, that you should know. It's us here, too.
