Hashim Thaci's biography on the Kosovo presidency page shows that he graduated from history at the University of Pristina Faculty of Philosophy in 1993. It also shows that Periscopi has attended post-diplomical studies at the University of Zurich from 1996 to 1998, but without completing them.
The question is rightly asked: how did Thaci enroll at the University of Zurich in Switzerland, since the University of Pristina was officially non-existence at the time, and whose students were not recognized as diplomats?
The site FriendsofKosovo writes that he introduced him to Zurich University a false degree from the University of Tirana, though he had admitted that he had never graduated from that university.
In February 2014, when protests were held at the Rectorate of UP at the request of the Rector Ibrahim Gashi, Thaci had given this symptoms statement: “We have been witnesses since 1991, even though we have an independent university, there has been politics. There are those who have performed the master without completing the faculty. Scientific headlines since 1991 have been more political than scientific. I'm not talking about names, all political parties know themselves.” /Periscopi
