Serbia's overall progress in advancing towards the EU depends on advancing the rule of law reforms and normalising relations with Kosovo, the European Commission's progress report for Serbia said.
The EC in the report stresses that Serbia should significantly deepen its commitment to dialogue with Kosovo, which includes implementing the relations achieved for energy, the bridge in Mitrovica, border management and recognition of diplomas.
Serbia's president's initiative, Aleksandar Vuciq, to launch domestic dialogue for Kosovo, has been praised as welcome, and Serbia is urged to continue to play a positive role in order to improve relations in the region and preserve stability.
In Belgrade-Pristina relations, The EC insists on continuing dialogue, and the report says Serbia should make additional efforts in implementing agreements reached in Brussels and contribute to the creation of conditions that will lead to full normalisation of relations with Kosovo, which will be defined under the legally binding agreement.
