The head of the UN mission in Sudan, David Scherer, has called the case a clean “violation of the code of work, which prohibits personnel sex with vulnerable populations, writes Periscopi.
The South Sudan authorities have also reacted to the scandal.
A government spokesman has said that <x0 human beings should not be in our state”.
In southern Sudan, destroyed by civil war, about 17,000 members of the WTO peace mission are now present.
There have been such UN scandals in the past.
