Serbian unmarried people give big money to marry girls from Albania. Albanians prefer them because they are worthy and loyal, Coha.net broadcasts.
Zoran's marriage Tomick had been news days ago. He met his wife in a village near Shkodra, fell in love at first sight, and got crowned after three days. At first, they were understood only by sight. Zoran S quite knew no English words and his wife, Edmonda, not a Serbian word. To make everything easier, they engaged the translator who was with them at the wedding, writes Belgrade's “blic” newspaper.
Zoran has been the first boy from Serbia to pull his foot and bring a bride from Albania. Soon after that, many boys from Serbia who for years had been unable to find wives for themselves. That was eight years earlier.
The situation has already changed. Boys still marry girls from Albania, but now it's not just men from the village, but also pilots, doctors, engineers...
“Burrat that are of different profiles for this road looking for spouses. We married, for example, a doctor from Belgrade, an economic science doctor from Nis, a pilot from Zagreb... there are even plain people, most of them are disappointed with our daughters. There are also divorced women and are determined to find home mates regardless of education. These are situationised and do not hesitate to pay much if everything is fair and good solution for them, says Milenko Jovanovic, owner of the agency for women's marriage from Albania and boys from Yugoslavia.
According to him, Albanians are mostly wanted because girls there have been good, fair and loyal, and Serb boys are unhappy with our daughters because they are too cheap and they are afraid to enter into society with them, Coha.net broadcasts.
The Albanians who marry are mostly of primary and middle schooling, and according to an unwritten rule, they speak nearly all English or Italian. They are very talented in this plan and the Serbian language they learn after two months of marriage. They also include intellectual ones, but they demand that marriage mates be educated and know English. Albanians do this for better lives, and in recent times it is increasingly difficult to find Albanians who want to marry in the village. They are now looking for boys from the city, America and Europe.
Most Albanians, but also of their husbands, want the connection to become as discrete as possible. There's no contemporary method, phone or social network.
It goes to the families of the potential bride. If they like each other, they find out about the details. Within a week, the girl goes to meet her family and home. All expenses are paid by the potential groom who returns to Albania for engagement. After the engagement, within 15 days, the groom goes to get the bride, relates Milenko.
It could all take another month.
All expenses cost around 5,000 euros, payment is made after marriage, and the bride and her family pay nothing.
Milenko has so far had 200 such marriages.
