Yll Rugova has made public the news of his formal resignation from the post of Culture Director in the Pristina municipality.
In a clarification on his Facebook account, Rugova has said he has seen fit to publicly clarify his already formal resignation.
These days I have formally resigned from the office of director of culture for reasons I have already made public. I have to say once again that my resignation is not at all giving up important cultural, social and cultural projects that have been launched, nor important program projects that have been promoted jointly, but it is giving up on Pristina's pale government that has now severed co-operation with Vetevendosje. I will focus on my role within the Vetevendosje Movement to protect the governing vision for Pristina and to prepare the new programme for future”, he wrote.

His disappointments, Rugova, had been expressed with the mayor of the Shpend Ahmeti municipality.
Rugova had said Ahmeti is selectively due to party beliefs being dismissed by directors. However, Shpend Ahmeti had said that Pristina is much greater than any political ego and resentment, and that the capital cannot be sacrificed on personal matters.
During his visit to the Youth Palace today, Ahmeti said there will be no coalition
The resolution with Vetevendosje Movement has become unstable. I've been sending the official offer for five months with the largest number of municipal directors. Besides giving no answers, they have continued with daily activists' attacks, but also the official communique. At the same time, no proposal that I have submitted has been voted, but many other things have done. We cannot sacrifice Pristina because of the resentments and personal egos”, Ahmeti had declared.
While for Pristina Culture Director Yll Rugova, Ahmeti has said not to be aware that he was not working for several days.
