In a presentation to reporters from Brussels, Thaci has said Western Balkan leaders have discussed reaching and visioning the future.
I believe the region has had solid success. I stressed the great frustration in terms of visas for citizens. But Kosovo has no alternative, except to continue its commitment towards NATO and the EU. We will all work together to clarify this process more. Kosovo has fulfilled its obligations. I appreciate that this decision will take place in the near future. In addition to the visa issue, at the meeting one of the main topics of discussion was also the effort to reach a final agreement with Serbia.
“As regards the issue of reaching agreement with Serbia, it is encouraging that all Western Balkan leaders support efforts, concluding that such an agreement affects peace and accelerates Kosovo's processes towards NATO and the EU. We will work with the negotiating team and civil society for the coming weeks and months to reach agreement with Serbia, gain recognition and recognition from EU countries that have recognised Kosovo's UN membership. Today, all are unique, both the US and Europe for the importance of dialogue and reaching the final agreement with Serbia”, Thaci has said further.
The first member of state also spoke of the letter received by American President Donald Trump.
