A Polish court today sentenced the German ZDF channel to pay compensation and apologise for the former anti-Nazi resistance that has been offended by the series “Our mothers, our fathers” (Unere Mutter, unsere Water).
The German public channel reacted immediately, claiming it would appeal the verdict of the Krakow court, which has been summoned to this vicinity by a former resistance, Zbigniew Radlowski, 94, backed by the world organisation of former “Narmia Krajawa” (AK), the first formation of Polish resistance against the Nazi invaders, writes the ATSH.
According to Judge Kamil Grrzesik, “taking into account the biography of Radlowski, a former resistance, imprisoned in Jewish concentration and rescue camps during the Holocaust, the film representing AK soldiers incompatible with truth and inaccurate, has a direct impact on his personal benefits, honour and dignity”.
