“Coca Cola” reacts after the government's new decision

The Kosovo government today voted the decision to impose a 100% tax on even brands known as the Coca Cola who are produced in Serbia.

This sudden decision that has been made today will certainly have an impact on our business, but we will make every effort to adapt as soon as possible” has been expressed to the Coca Cola.

While Trade Minister Endrit Shala has indicated after the new tax was voted, the decision has been consulted by companies themselves.

There are no more brands on the list. Before I make this decision, I have consulted representatives of these companies, who have now begun the market that they have supplied from Serbia to do through other countries in the region, Coca-Cola and other companies.

There have been requirements that with the same principle on this list, another 1,000 and 300 companies will be included. The introduction of these products eliminates the need for tax to be effective. And we have a suggestion from all our friends to be equal to everyone. It means either put them all on the list or eliminate them all, the minister Shala reasoned.

The popular brand operates in Kosovo since 2003.
