The Kosovo Statistics Agency (ASK) has published the construction price index for the third quarter of this year, where it estimates that the overall cost of construction index in Kosovo was up by 0.5 per cent, compared to this year's second three months, the newspapers forward.net
According to the AKS, greater growth was in the 14.3 percent transport categories, energy 1.6 percent and other costs at 0.5 percent.
“While comparing the same period, TM3 2018 with that of the preceding year, TM3 2017, the Construction Cost Index rose 2.0 percent. The index's rise was largely noted in categories: transport 14.3 percent, energy 2.5 percent, materials 2.1 percent and other costs 1.3 percent”, the ASS report said.
Also, by April of next year, the construction price is expected to grow further, from the effects of the 100% tax on Bosnia and Serbia, given that a large portion of the construction and iron materials for construction come from Serbia, which will affect the cost increase because of finding replacement from more distant countries, for Kosovo.
